Expanded training pathway helps prepare RV technicians for advanced generator diagnostics, installation, and troubleshooting

ATHENS, Texas. The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) announced that its Advanced Generator Technician program now aligns with the Recreational Vehicle Technicians Association of America (RVTAA) Certified Generator Technician credential pathway, providing students with specialized hands-on training designed to prepare them for the RVTAA certification exam.
The Advanced Generator Technician program is focused on advanced assessment, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and maintenance skills for onboard and portable RV generators. Students receive hands-on instruction covering generator electrical systems, propane systems, power management, and RV operational integration in real-world training environments.

This program prepares students to “apply basic technical knowledge and skills to test, inspect, repair, service, and maintain onboard and portable generators in recreational vehicles” and includes instruction in advanced generator electrical power diagnostics and installation.
“Reliable power systems are critical for today’s RV owners,” said Kelly Bradley / COO. “This program gives technicians practical, hands-on experience diagnosing and troubleshooting generator systems while also preparing qualified students to pursue the RVTAA Certified Generator Technician credential.”

The Advanced Generator Technician program includes:
