In this course, the student participates in a structured, instructor led learning process of lectures, videos, quizzes, and hands-on labs on the various systems found in today’s RVs. The student will gain knowledge of the key RV systems, DC electrical systems, AC electrical systems, propane systems, plumbing systems, learn how the RV refrigerator, air conditioner, water heater, and furnace operates and how to maintain it for proper performance, and expectations of an RV.

This course is specifically designed for individuals interested in becoming more skilled with pulling towable 5th wheels and travel trailers, and driving Class A, B, and C motorhomes, and truck campers. In addition, the student will be better prepared to hitch up RVs to various hitches using techniques learned in the course. The course covers each step in becoming a competent RV driver and how to handle challenges on the road when they occur.

Students advance assessment, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills of generator operations. Students will learn how to select, install, operate, and maintain portable and mobile generators, as well as how to isolate and repair generator problems. This course can help RV owners avoid power failure and ensure their generator power is sustainable.
