National RV Training Academy Names Robert Healy Full-Time Instructor for RV Exterior Systems Training

ATHENS, Texas — The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) is pleased to announce that Robert Healy has accepted the role of Full-Time RV Exterior Systems Instructor, where he will lead students through one of the most hands-on portions of the Advanced RV Service Technician training pathway.

Healy brings a combination of recent graduate success, industry certification, and real-world field experience to the classroom. A 2023 graduate of NRVTA’s Advanced RV Service Technician program, Healy is also an RVTAA Certified RV Service Technician and currently serves as a Technical Assistant at NRVTA while working as an RV Technician for Living Quarters Specialist of East Texas, LLC.

In his new role, Healy will focus on teaching RV Exterior Systems, a course that helps students develop advanced assessment, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills related to RV slide-out systems, leveling systems, roof and sidewall construction, running gear components, and exterior maintenance and repair procedures. The RV Exterior Systems course combines classroom instruction with extensive hands-on laboratory training to help students build practical troubleshooting and repair skills.

Prior to joining the instructional team, Healy gained experience as a pre-delivery inspection technician as well as an HVAC installer specializing in 18-wheeler rigs and RV applications. His background provides students with practical insight into the challenges technicians encounter in the field every day.

“Robert represents the type of professional growth we strive to develop at NRVTA,” said Kelly Bradley, COO of NRVTA. “He started as a student, invested in developing his technical skills, earned industry certification, and has continued building real-world experience. That combination allows him to connect with students and provide practical instruction rooted in today’s RV service environment.”

As a full-time instructor, Healy will help students navigate the hands-on training components that have become a hallmark of NRVTA’s educational approach. NRVTA’s mission is to equip and inspire the next generation of RV technicians and inspectors through hands-on training, vocational development, and industry-focused education.

The Advanced RV Service Technician program includes specialized training in RV air conditioners and heat pumps, absorption refrigerators, water heaters and furnaces, and exterior systems, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting and practical skill development.
