It’s #NRVTAFamFriday with Laura Stewart

Tony FlammiaSpotlight

Todays #NRVTAFamFriday is the one and only Laura Stewart!!!

Laura just completed her week one RV Maintainainfce training and started as a Student Adviser for the NRVTA. If you’ve talked to someone about coming to class…you may have already met Laura!

What’s your title? Actually, it’s kinda funny, I just found out my title is Student Adviser. I was so excited to start calling on people that I forgot to ask

What do you do at your job? Well, I reach out to potential students and advise them on our curriculum and different study options. It’s nice to be able to tell them I’ve gone through the class already so I can give them a good idea of what to expect.

How long have you been employed at the NRVTA? This is my first week and I LOVE IT!!!

What’s your favorite thing about your job? I just love being part of this team. Everyone is so nice…it’s like it’s not even a job. It’s a family of good folks trying to help people find a better way.

What was your first RV? It was a Work’n Play Toy Hauler

What would be your dream RV? Where would you go? I’d love to have a nice big Class A diesel pusher pulling a jacked-up Jeep and go everywhere I haven’t been yet!

What your favorite tip or trick you’ve learned from the NRVTA? I was always getting frozen cauliflower and I just learned in class to move my thermistor up to lower the temp in my fridge.

What your favorite successful moment at work so far? I’ve been able to be a part of selling out our October classes. I love that moment a student takes the first step towards a new career in the RV Industry.

What are you currently working on? Right now we’re trying to take care of the October class. We have one more open seat, then we’re on to November!

Any Tips on RV’ing? Yeah! Get outside and be social (Follow your state’s guidelines of course) Meet new friends and smile a lot. Give someone some encouragement…we all need it!
